At Clearwave Mental Health, a TMS Treatment session will typically last around 19-37 minutes. During these sessions, you will be sitting comfortably in a chair.
Most patients enjoy listening to music, reading a book, or watching TV while receiving treatment. One of the many benefits of TMS therapy is that individuals can go about their day after treatment.

THE PROCESS
Typical treatment timeline
Free consultation
During your free consultation, you will meet with one of our caring staff members. Here you will go through a patient consultation to review any past or present medical history. We will explain every aspect of TMS you or your loved one will go through.
Pre-assessment
Once you and one of our medical professionals have discussed your history, they will begin creating a specific treatment plan that meets your needs and works around your schedule.
Day one
On your first appointment, our team will work to tailor a treatment plan that is individualized for you. Unlike future sessions, the first one might last a bit longer as we want to make sure we provide the TMS therapy effectively. The first session will last approximately 60-90 minutes and individuals will be given earplugs during their treatment.

Beyond your first session
Returning for your next session
A full course of TMS Treatment is 36 sessions. For optimal results, it is recommended that patients undergo treatment five days per week for the first several weeks before slowly decreasing the number of weekly treatments. At Clearwave Mental Health, we work with you to develop a treatment schedule that fits your needs and optimizes your results.
Insurance and financing
TMS Therapy is covered by most health insurance plans. Cost and financing will ultimately depend on the individualized treatment plan. Our goal at Clearwave Mental Health is to make this process as smooth as possible for all of our patients. Our mental health professionals will work with your insurance providers to make sure you get finances squared away.
