Dr. Robinson will bring a unique perspective with her experience in the treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on women’s health and trauma-informed care. Dr. Robinson attended Medical School at Albany Medical College where she graduated with a distinction in Bioethics. She completed a Triple Board Residency Program at the University of Kentucky, and additionally completed a Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program for 2 years through the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute. |
A message from our Medical Director, Dr. Randy Pardell: Keeping Calm During the Covid Crisis
As we move through the Covid 19 pandemic, Clearwave Mental Health Medicine, PC and the ClearWave Mental Health continue our commitment to enhance the mental health of our community. To this end we have been providing ongoing mental health care for patients through our Zoom Healthcare platform where we can safely provide treatment in the comfort of your home. While we are utilizing telehealth care for our patients, we are continuing our in office transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) practice with enhanced safety protocol. We have be streamlining our processes, and have been gaining swift turn around in obtaining insurance company approval and quickly beginning TMS treatment for our patients. Our patients our showing wonderful response to TMS therapy and we are utilizing scientifically informed protocols to enhance patient recovery. TMS has been FDA cleared for treatment resistant major depression and treatment of other neuropsychiatric conditions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, comorbid anxiety with depression and smoking cessation. Through my office as the President of the Clinical TMS Society the field is succeeding in increasing awareness, reducing barriers to insurance reimbursement, educating fellow clinicians, and developing new indications in psychiatry utilizing this very important technology. We will be hosting our colleagues of the Mid Hudson Psychiatric Society this fall as we will be providing demonstrations and a lecture on the latest updates in the field of transcranial magnetic stimulation. We have welcomed our new TMS Practice Coordinator, Gary Ellison who has been the hub of our TMS program and any of our patients at Riverview can contact him directly and ask for more information about TMS and discuss whether TMS is an excellent choice for you or your loved one. We are excited to welcome Kimberly Robinson MD who will be joining our clinical and TMS treatment team. Dr. Robinson has been providing mental health care in our region for many years and is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. She will begin working with us in November and will provide telehealth and in office treatment. We are also happy to welcome the Marist College Physician Assistants Program as well as the Pace University Nurse Practitioner Program as their students rotate through our clinical program. They have become an integral part of our psychiatric team and have participated in our TMS program.
