Overview
Kyle is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with eight years of experience in mental health care. He began his nursing career in 2015 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Utica College and later completed his Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Duke University. His clinical experience includes psychiatric crisis and emergency services, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry, and substance use treatment, providing care for individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of mental health needs.
Kyle provides collaborative, patient-centered psychiatric care centered on the belief that every individual deserves to feel heard, understood, and actively involved in treatment decisions. He believes the best mental health care begins with listening and extends beyond managing symptoms or prescribing medication. By taking time to understand each person’s unique experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals, he works alongside patients to develop individualized treatment plans that combine evidence-based psychiatric care, patient education, and practical strategies to support overall well-being.
Trust is the foundation of Kyle’s approach to psychiatric care. He places a strong emphasis on building genuine rapport and creating an environment where patients feel comfortable being themselves. He welcomes questions, values open communication, and believes that appropriate humor can help patients feel at ease. Kyle is committed to providing an inclusive, affirming practice where individuals of all backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, feel respected, supported, and safe.
Kyle enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan and has a special interest in working with children and adolescents include the evaluation and treatment with ADHD, anxiety disorders, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD), and school refusal. He believes helping patients better understand themselves is an important part of treatment and considers it a privilege to partner with individuals and families in helping them achieve their goals.
