Ken Oclatis, PhD

Dr. Kenneth Oclatis earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester in 1977 and has been practicing in the Hudson Valley as a NYS Licensed Psychologist since 1978. He has primarily treated adults with anxiety, depression, and trauma/stress related issues, and has also provided clinical training and supervision and administrative leadership in several mental health programs throughout the region.

Trained in many treatment methods and modalities himself, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mind/body therapeutic approaches, Dr. Oclatis has learned through experience that treatment needs to be adapted to fit the unique problems, needs, and strengths of each person.

Dr. Oclatis was born and raised in Central Massachusetts but has made the Hudson Valley his home for over 40 years. He has been actively involved in many community organizations and programs and believes that healthy and vibrant communities are necessary to support and maintain good mental health.

Dr. Oclatis sees patients via telehealth and also sees patients in-person at Clearwave’s Poughkeepsie office. Dr. Oclatis is Clearwave’s Program Director over Therapy and Social Work.
