Jesse Bastiaens, MD

Jesse Bastiaens, MD is a psychiatrist based at Clearwave’s Valhalla office, providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and medication management via in person and telepsychiatry appointments. He completed his medical school training at Cornell University Medical College and his psychiatry residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF).

During residency, Dr. Bastiaens was a chief resident and helped develop a training program in interventional psychiatry/neuromodulation. Since that time, he has served as medical director of a large group practice implementing quality and performance improvement standards, worked as an attending on an inpatient unit for young adults, and functioned as an assistant professor of psychiatry for both UCSF and Cornell University. He has extensive experience in interventional psychiatry, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in particular.

Dr. Bastiaens specializes in evaluation and treatment of college students, young adults, and adults for a variety of psychiatric disorders, including anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and OCD. Dr. Bastiaens has a special interest in emerging adult health and evidence-based psychiatry. Dr. Bastiaens believes in evidence-based treatment and providing a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients.
